Rihanna Covers Elle Magazine

Rihanna covers the June issue of Elle Magazine and is looking fierce!  In the magazine she comment's on Chris Brown, Matt Kemp and some of her favorite designers...

On Matt Kemp: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

Designers: “It’s clear there are definitely fewer black women in the high-fashion industry. One of the things I respected most about Gucci was that they did a print campaign with me. I’m a black girl on a fashion spread for Gucci—that was a big deal. I respect designers who aren’t afraid to go outside the box. I went to a Jean Paul Gaultier show, and I saw girls who are thicker than me, beautiful and voluptuous and different ethnicities. That made me so excited. I thought, Okay, I can work that, for sure.”

Last Year: “A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”

New Video: Careful by Paramore

So my favorite band Paramore just released their new video for 'Careful' off of their album Brand New Eyes.  I love the video, it's mainly just footage of the band on tour and interacting with fans.  Simple, but shot very well and really catches the personality of this band.  SN: I'm going to go rock out with them in July and im soooo excited! #Enjoy

Jay and Bey Hit up the French Open

Jigga man and Beyonce were photo'd @ the French Open yesterday. The couple is known for attending big sporting events and the French Open is another one 2 add 2 the list. And i don't care what people say, I think they are a cute couple and in my opinion, they look happy.

2010 MTV Movie Awards

The MTV Movie Awards was on an poppin last nite.. The show was pretty good, had sum funny/crazy/wtf?? moments so it's all good lol  Some of my favorite parts were the Sandra/Scarlett kiss, Tom Cruise dance scene, Kristen and Rob's awkward kiss on stage lol, Sandra's acceptance speech and the brand new clip of Twilight's 'Eclipse' (Coming out June 30th!  I'm sooo excited!). Anyway here are sum pics from the night...

• Alicia Keys announces pregnancy and ENGAGEMENT to Swizz Beatz
• Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim finally begin their so called 'beef'  (I'm #TeamKim all day!)
• Drake's ENTIRE album leaked online, but on a positive note it's gotten really good reviews and I myself have not listened 2 it because i will be purchasing the album June 15
• The Gulf Oil Spill has gotten TERRIBLY worse and I'm praying 4 a solution
• Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johanson made out @ the MTV Movie Awards #lol
• Chris Brown still can't catch a break despite all the mixtape releases
• Rihanna's hair is fire red and i gotta say i'm feelin it!
• Kanye West's new single 'Power' is out and the name pretty much sums it up!
• There's plenty more but I'm not writing ya'll a damn essay lol... so last but not least my bday was on MAY 31st and ya girl is now 23!!!! OOWWWWW

So this is the official album cover for Drake's highly anticipated new album 'Thank Me Later'.  Personally, I love it, it's straightforward and even has a little artistic spin on it.  A lot of people thought the cover is 3d but according to Universal Motown, it's not.  Either way I'm looking forward to hearing this new track.

Keri is the New Face of Avon

How gorgeous is she in this pic??  I love that dress she's rockin #fab.  I think Avon is good look for her and it's always a good idea to stretch your brand.  Here's what Keri had to say about it...

'The Runaways' GO SEE IT!

I blogged about this a few months ago and last night after work I got a chance to go see it.  I loved it, they did a great job of capturing the essence of the 70's.  Plenty of drugs, cursing, sex and rock n' roll too lol.  But Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning did excellent and I could tell they really understood their characters in this film.  But that's my short 'movie review' of this film... it's only playing in select theaters so if you can see it, I would highly recommend you do so. #cherrybomb! lol

Sanaa Lathan covers "Pride" Magazine

Sanaa looks STUNNING in this spread of "Pride" Magazine!  Currently she's lending her voice to the The Cleveland Show on Fox and also is appearing in the London play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.  I've always appreciated her ability to stretch further than just the regular 'black actress' roles.  I remember when she stared in 2004's 'Alien Vs. Predator'.  It was totally out of her comfort zone and she was great!  I hope she'll continue to venture out into different roles..

The Boondocks! Season 3 Trailer

This show is great, so controversial and boundaries clearly aren't a issue here.  Unfortunately, this is the last season for the popular Aaron McGruder written show.  This season looks like a good one and I'm interested in seeing how McGruder is going to end it.  On that note... enjoy the trailer!

I can't get over how adorable these kids are!  Will and Jada definitely made some beautiful children lol  Jaden and Willow Smith are seen here on the red carpet for the premiere of The Perfect Game.  FYI be on the look out 4 Jaden staring in the remake of The Karate Kid along side Jackie Chan.  I can't wait 2 see Jaden and Willow 10 years from now...

How far does your creativity stretch?

This quote comes from Kanye West who explained the process of creativity and the ups and downs life can roll you through.  I really enjoyed reading this so I thought I would share...

Lupe doesnt wanna be Jay-Z

Mr. Lasers himself isnt interested in being the next Mr. Carter.  “I don’t want to be Jay-Z and be worth $400 million and perform on every awards show,” he said to Australian paper The Age.  Lupe wants to go a different route with his music.  “It’s getting in touch with somebody who needs to improve their self-esteem, as opposed to driving a Bentley and putting some chains on.”  Lupe also explained that he didnt see himself as a superstar and instead was interested in making music for his REAL fans.  “I don’t have necessarily the celebrity success they want me to have, but it’s more social success and being able to speak at a college about world affairs. That’s a success to me.”

Runaways 2010

I'm gonna check this movie out when it hits theaters.  The film stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and it basically depicts the life of the 70's chick band The Runaways.  Although the girl group only last four years, they're rise to fame shot them into sold out shows and world tours.  According to MTV Joan Jett (one of the original Runaways band members) said Kirstan Stewart (who plays Joan in the film) nailed her performance.  Check the trailor below.
